Allows AMJA to operate from a position of strength. Provides a regular income that ensures AMJA will continue to be an independent body in order to maintain the objectivity of its legal rulings (fatawa).
Goal of This Endowment Project
AMJA’s plan is to raise one million dollars to purchase a commercial property in an economically thriving location. AMJA will then lease this property to suitable tenants, and use the revenue from the rent to finance AMJA projects and services for years to come, insha’Allah. AMJA’s commercial real estate consultants estimate a return on investment (ROI) of about 8%.
Securing Your Investment
The new property will be secured under an endowment trust, ensuring that the principal amount invested is kept intact while the investment income is continually available for use.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ “ إِنَّ مِمَّا يَلْحَقُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ وَحَسَنَاتِهِ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ عِلْمًا عَلَّمَهُ وَنَشَرَهُ وَوَلَدًا صَالِحًا تَرَكَهُ وَمُصْحَفًا وَرَّثَهُ أَوْ مَسْجِدًا بَنَاهُ أَوْ بَيْتًا لاِبْنِ السَّبِيلِ بَنَاهُ أَوْ نَهْرًا أَجْرَاهُ أَوْ صَدَقَةً أَخْرَجَهَا مِنْ مَالِهِ فِي صِحَّتِهِ وَحَيَاتِهِ يَلْحَقُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِ ” .
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “The rewards of the deeds and good actions that will reach a believer after his death are: Knowledge which he taught and spread; a righteous child whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur’an that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a guesthouse that he built for travelers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death.”
عن أبي هريرة – رضي الله عنه – عن النبي {صلى الله عليه وسلم} قال “ مَنِ احْتَبَسَ فَرَسًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ إِيمَانًا بِاللَّهِ وَتَصْدِيقًا بِوَعْدِهِ، فَإِنَّ شِبَعَهُ وَرِيَّهُ وَرَوْثَهُ وَبَوْلَهُ فِي مِيزَانِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ”. رواه
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “If somebody keeps a horse in Allah’s Cause, motivated by his faith in Allah and his belief in His Promise, then he will have on his scales on the Day of Resurrection [reward] for what the horse has eaten or drunk and for its dung and urine.” (Recorded by al-Bukhari.)
