I am 30 years old, engaged and will get married after a few months. A Sudanese lady requested from me, whose age is 41 and has three girls and she is a widow, to marry her customarily because she can’t live without a man (sexually) and she can’t resist her desires and she wants to do this in a permissible manner, but without telling her girls and without fully residing with me, and therefore there won’t be any procreation. What is the ruling? Should I agree or is the issue impermissible in the first place so I shouldn’t agree? Note that I too have a very very high desire.
In the name of Allaah, the Benevolent, the Merciful. All praise is due to Allaah, and peace and blessings be upon the messenger of Allaah, upon his family, companions, and those loyal to him.
I do not see for you, O my Son, to tread this path. You are about to get married so do not disturb it with issues like this. And your desire, which you mentioned, you shall be aided in it soon through your marriage for which you have sought ordinary means. As for this lady, with all due respect for her lawful yearning for chastity, our advice for her is to keep chaste, as the Most High said [And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allaah enriches them of His Bounty] and to seek help through patience and the prayer, as the Most High said [And seek help in patience and the prayer], and to curb the reins of her desires through fasting, for it is a remedy for her, about which the infallible, peace be upon him, informed us. And that she should seek marriage through the ordinary means, so as to marry someone who is a match for her in her age, or social circumstances, for it is more promising for the stability of the relationship and the intimacy, and to inform her daughters and others about that, for it expels doubt and closes the door of accusations, and is more promising for the continuation of this life. And we ask Allaah for us and her success and steadfastness. And Allaah, the Most High, knows best.
