Asslam O Alaikum, I am based in USA. We got married 2 years earlier and were trying for baby. Recently we have found that due to some problems, the only option left to us is thru Invetro fertilization. The infertility centre in our city is run by a male doctor, however at a 2 hour driving distance, there is a reporoductive centre with female doctors. My husband says its difficul for him to commute for frequent visists to the female operated centre and we should go for the one that is intown. He believes when you are with a doctor, its a patient-doctor relationship. Considering these facts, is it Halal to have IVF conducted by a male doctor. Please reply on this as it is continously occupying my mind what to do, considering the importance of having a baby.

It is halal to go to the male physician as long as it is significantly inconvenient to see an equally qualified female physician.
