I work as a graphic designer in the field of campaigning, advertising, etc…

I had heard about photography in particular that it is haram and is not permissible in any format. Does that mean that my work is haram according to Shari`ah, noting that I might use some pictures in making designs.

If there is a clear advantage to using these pictures and this is not contradicted by any weighty disadvantage, and they are not a type of thing that has been prohibited in and of itself for the temptation or provocation it contains and it is not an aid to that, then there would be nothing wrong with it, in sha` Allah; and Allah Almighty is more exalted and more knowledgeable.
