| Title: | Taking money for performing Taraweeh prayer |

If a hafiz states that I will perform Taraweeh prayer and upon completion of 30 days prayer I must get $5000.00, will his income be halal? Or should he leave it to the general public or mosque committee to give him more or less (whatever collected from the general public).
Should we ask the people coming to pray that they must give $100.00 each in order to fulfill the Hafiz’s demand of $5000.00?
JAZAK ALLAHU KHAIRAN!
AA
Yes, it is lawful for him to take a compensation if it was based on a mutual agreement with the masjid`s board, or with the community, because of the time and effort he will dedicate for this task.
However, it is preferred for him to make it easy for his community by asking for a reasonable amount, affordable by the community.
