Salaam alaykum,

I had never heard of this before, but the girl`s parents I am talking to say that a man is allowed to see the girl without the hijab once if he so pleases to make a decision regarding marriage as long as his intention is for marriage.

I never heard of any hadith of this before and was curious if you have any knowledge of this? Jazaka Allah Khairan for your response.

The most correct opinion, adopted by the majority of scholars is that a man is not allowed to see more than the face and the palm hans of the girl he is proposing for marriage.
