Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakatu,
If a Muslim woman wants to marry a non-Muslim man who agreed to convert/revert to Islam, what is the procedure for that man to become a Muslim before they get married in order for their marriage to be halal? Please advice us on this, and please respond to us as soon as possible because this couple wants to get things done as soon as possible, but in a halal way.
Jazaakum Allahu khairan.
He must embrace Islam by uttering the testimony of Islam, and start acting upon it by learning his new Religion and applying whatever he knows about it.
Meanwhile, if the girl in question realizes that he is lying to her and that his intention is just to marry her without being sincere in his desire to embrace Islam, she should not honor his statement and she should not marry him.
