Title: There's nowhere to pray at work: Can I pray in my car?

Question

I work in a company where there is no place to perform salah. I have to do my salah in my car in the parking lot. Is this the right way to do my salah, or can I perform qada salah (make up the prayer) after I get home (Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib), or can I do Dhuhr and Asr as qusar (shortened) in my car, as I have to travel 40 miles back and forth?

Please instruct me if I am wrong and help me with the right advice. Thank you.

Answer

None of the suggested solutions is sufficient. Neither can the obligatory prayers be performed in a seated position if one is able to stand, nor is combining different prayers acceptable if it becomes a habit and is done on a daily basis!

As such, you must find a place to pray at work. Perhaps your office would be the right place to do so.

May Allah help you to follow His commands. Ameen.
