Question
I would like to know if "wazeefa" is permissible according to the Shariah. For example, if someone wants something, he has to recite a certain ayat such-and-such number of times, and then his wish will be granted.
Answer
Nothing like that has been authentically reported to the best of my knowledge. There is only Salat ul-Istikharah to ask Allah (swt) to choose the best for us and sincere dua`a to get it done once we have proceeded.
