When making ghusl (the bath of purification) from post-coital impurity, which is the right way: to take a regular bath first and get off all the dirt and grime and then make ghusl to remove the sexual impurity, or the opposite?
Also, how do you wash a dead body? Do you do the regular cleaning first and then the purifying bath (ghusl) or the opposite?
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful,
All praise is due to Allah, and may peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allah, upon his household, his companions and those who have followed him. To proceed:
The right way to do it is to wash the private parts and remove all the uncleanness first, then perform ablution (wudu’) and pour water over the entire body after that. This is the complete ghusl.
The order is the same when washing the body of the deceased. He should be cleaned first and then water should be poured over the entire body.
May Allah increase you in purity and success.
And Allah Almighty is the Most High, and He knows best.
