As an example, the following is an answer by Dr.Salah Al-Sawy:

In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful Peace, blessings and mercy of Allah be upon you. Praise be to Allah, prayers and peace be upon His kind Messenger, family members, companions and followers. The basis is to have sexual intercourse between the spouses in any position possible they see convenient for them, as Allah says: "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand and fear God, and know that ye are to meet him (in the hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believes", (Quran, 2:223), whether with man-on-top position or man-from-behind position, as long as the insertion is in the vagina. Abou-Dawoud reported about Ibn `Abbas, may Allah be content with them, said that: "The people of Ansaar who lived in this quarter (and they were idolaters) with this quarter of Jews (and they were people of the Book), and they used to be boastful that they are superior to them in knowledge, and they would imitate them in many things of their actions, and one issue of these is that the people of the Book used to have sexual intercourse with women on their sides, a position in which women would be in semi-covered state, and the Ansaar people imitated them in this regard, and the people from Qureish (the Migrants or Muhajerin who came from Makkah to Madinah with the prophet, prayers and peace of Allah be upon him) used to have sexual intercourse with women in vigorous manners and in all positions possible; man-on-top, man-from-behind, and woman-on-side positions, and when the Migrants (Muhajereen) from Makkah came to Madinah, one man of them was married to a woman from the Ansaar, and he started having vigorous sexual intercourse with her, but she complained and told him that they were used to be contacted on their sides, and that he either do her on her side, or avoid having sex with her altogether, and her story has become public, and the prophet, prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, knew the matter, and Allah has revealed the Noble Verse: "Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand and fear God, and know that ye are to meet him (in the hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believes", (Quran, 2:223), i.e. in all positions possible, as long as the insertion is in the vagina ". One of the hot issues around which questions frequently arise is the mutual foreplay between the spouses, or mutual masturbation, and the basis is that each one of them can enjoy the other physically. Therefore, they can manipulate each other`s sexual parts with any part member of their bodies; with tongue, mouth, hand etc., unless there is some health worries that would cause harm to either party, and that would be better avoided. Some Shari`ah scholars have said that Muslims should avoid doing things that would take away modesty and bashfulness between the spouses, especially in marital relationships. However, having sexual intercourse with the wife in her anus, is absolutely prohibited in Islam, as the prophet, prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, says: "Cursed is the one who has sex with a woman in her anus", (reported by Abou-Dawoud).
