Assalaam O Alikum warehmatullah hi wabarakatuhu Sir, i have heard that some of shite scholars has given fatwas in favor of conventional banking & they say earning that the employees gets from conventional bank is halal, kindly guide me i will be thankful to you. some sunni scholars are gainst islamic banking they say it is a same as conventional bank.

We believe that borrowing from conventional banks is extremely prohibited as this is one of the most explicit examples of the dealing with usury or Riba that Allah swt and His Prophet saaw prohibited. Meanwhile, dealing with Islamic banks is allowed as long as these banks are proven to adopt the Islamic modes of finance and partnerships.
