Question

Salamo Alikom I have a credit card and I always make sure I pay the full amount on time to avoid paying interest. Sometimes the credit card company gives me some money back based on the amount I spend on their credit card to encourage me to spend more. For example if I spend $2000 on their credit card they give me $20 back and they call it a reward. Is it Halal to take this money?

Answer

AAWW

Yes, it is allowed to take this money as long as the (saving plan) is free. Paying for this program will render the money to a Haram one, because it is interpreted to be a currency exchange with inequality.
