is eating chinese food in here ,america , halal or harm?

The meats these restaurants cook and serve take the same ruling of the meat of the people of the book, unless it is proven that they slaughter the animals themselves (the owners of the restaurants) which is –most probably- not the case. In case they slaughter while they do not claim to be Jews or Christians, eating from their meat is prohibited.

Also, some of the Chinese restaurants use cooking wine as a flavor. Whatever food -meat or anything else- was cooked with cooking wine is not allowed too.

Nevertheless, whenever you choose to dine there, you should check with them on the items cooked with the cooking wine, so as to avoid it.
