Question
What is the difference between diyah and the sharia
Answer
Alhamdu Lillah
Diyah or Blood money is one of the Sharia rules. It is a regulation that mandates the accidental killer’s relatives to pay to the victim’s family 100 camels or their equivalent in value. The same number of camels - but with better quality and more expensive in value - must be paid by the murderer himself to the murdered person's family in case the homicide was intentional but the victim’s family unanimously waived their right to retaliate.
