Assalamalaikum warahmatullah I have pierced nose and wear a small ring in sideit,so when i make wudoo should i make sure the water reaches the skin? as i feel that we women have ears pierced and we wear a small ring there,sowhen we make wudoo and wipe our ears we dont make sure the water reaches below the ring we just wipe it. can the same thing be applied to nose? Nose piercing is not an Islamic practice, as it is a kind of exposure of the women’s adornment or Zeenah, while Allah SWT said, what means (And they should not expose their Zeenah).

The difference between the nose and the ear piercing is that the later one is invisible as covering the ear is a compulsory act by unanimity of scholars, but no consensus regarding the status of covering the face.

Till the nose pierces are removed, one has to do her best in washing every reachable part of her face, especially when having purifacatory bath to remove the sexual impurity status (Ghusul from Janabah), or at least, when performing Wudu.
