Question
During salah, When imam is reciting loudly, can i along with listening to imam's recitation, recite alongwith him in my mind without moving my tongue or recite very silently.
Answer
Alhamdu Lillah
No, reading with the Imam, whether by heart or from the Mus-haf is not allowed, except for reading Al-Fatihah.
The Prophet SAAW asked His eminent companions: Were you reading behind your Imam ? They said: Yes, O Prophet of Allah. He said: Do not do that, except for Suratul-Fatihah, as there is no Salah (accepted) for the one who does not tread it).Narrated genuinely by Abu Dawoud.
In the other Hadith, the Prophet SAAW said (The Imam is appointed to be followed, so when he says Takbeer, follow him, and when he recites, listen to him)
