Asalaamu Alikum, I am currently a student at the university and have received a scholarship to cover my tuition. Each semester, the money remaining, after the tuition is covered, is given to me to use for future tuition and other college expenses. If there is any money left over at the end of my college career it will be mine to do as I wish. In this case do I need to pay Zakat on the scholarship money in my possession though it will be used for tuition inshAllah in the future? Jazakum Allahu Khairan

Assalam Alikum, You do not have to give Zakah on this money because it is for the tuition but after you cover the tuition, what ever is left if it is eligible for zakah you should give the zakah of it.
