Salam Alaikom, I live in the US for quite long , I always ate halal meat that I buy from Muslims , but many muslim that I know, they eat chicken in restaurants and also, buy chicken from stores like Walmart. They mentioned to me that is permissible to do so and it's considered as Halal. I would like to know if that's correct. Thank you, Hisham

My position is that the chicken you purchase from the grocery stores in the USA and that are not marked halal is impermissible to eat.
